Everything in the commercials are a lie. A PC can do everything a Mac can do, but better. You can get a PC with a crappy built in web cam, but why wouldn't you want to upgrade? Mac wants to do to you what AOL did to you, keep you in a walled garden. A PC give you the true ability to express yourself, while Mac tries to prey on young people who just want to fit in, they don't need personal style, they just need to fit in. What's a better way to fit in than to sympathize with the "cool guy" (or douche) who plays the Mac. If your Emo, feel free to get a mac and enjoy your walled Mac/AOL garden. If you want to be free of iTunes, iPhoto, iSuck, iLoose, and iGay, than get a PC.

So without boring you Mac users further, I'm going to go ahead and give you my favorite spoof's and re-makes of the Mac Commercials. The two best attempts that I am aware of are below. I discovered these on youtube and there are still a lot of good ones out there, so if you find something I haven't added, feel free to add it in a comment. (to post a you tube video in a comment, go here )

Here are the 3 "Pc vs Mac" commercials based on a PC's perspective (genius):

  PC beats Mac At Work
[youtube Jg1-ywndVNc]

  Money
[youtube hrpS9m2VF1c]

  The Girl
[youtube LZtbshemzq8]

  Music
[youtube 1UNSfm4Of80]

Also funny are Novels "How Would Linux fit in" videos:
[youtube pDc9I3z7ab4]

  [youtube 7eTguZ5OzJ4]

  [youtube 3-329Czokjk]

If apple made a gaming console (iBox)... iHalo Anyone?
[youtube 96vpA83GA5w]

I'm a Zune, I'm an iPod (Microsoft Zune vs Apple Ipod, so true..)
[youtube DQg0JNaKeVM]

Linux Nerd (3 of the truenuff tv spoofs):
[youtube t-L-0s-7-Z0]

  [youtube BQECwm3erEs]

  [youtube gFAJDbV9Vfs]

And of course, here are the lame UK or British Mac Commercials:
[youtube _clY2-Y_eFg]

  [youtube P7kTwpdr_gU]

  [youtube XWO2sz1-SL0]

  [youtube b1oAIqJSYO8]

  [youtube eZsuNSdEVqo]

CrazyPC Hover Mouse - Floating Mouse

This mouse has been getting a lot of hype lately.. I really don't get it. Do people think that it ALWAYS floats 1 cm above the mouse pad? No.. The second you put your hand on it its going to start floating like an 60's style flying saucer. It's going to dip and scratch your metal mouse pad making noises like nails on a chalk board. Unless you like the sound of metal on metal, you might want to think twice before you buy this thing. It may sound cool, but the "CrazyPC HOVER MOUSE" is down right ghey.

If you buy this thing and expect to play games with it, then get ready to get owned.

If you buy this mouse thinking your going to make computer graphics like Bob Ross would, put down the joint, your going to be designing graphics on the same level as my 6 year old niece with this great example of afro engineering.

If you believed them when they said this mouse was good for those with arthritis, give yourself a week with this piece and you will have carpel tunnel.

If you want a good mouse, get an Intellimouse Explorer. These are the most comfortable mice you can buy. They also have a lot of cool buttons you can program, and unlike certain other mice, they don't have buttons that you accidently click everytime you lift the mouse up (I had a mouse like that.. I actually still have it, it's in my wall behind a drywall patch)..

If you already own the "Hover Mouse", hahahhaha... you got, got.

(freaky 60's UFO Horror movie noises here)

When I'm 35, kids will laugh at me

Maybe its the dojo someone put in my cigarettes, but I was thinking today about how by the time I'm 35 people are going to laugh at me and feel sorry for me. I mean, I grew up playing xbox, ps 1, SNES and gamecube. I have even seen an atari, and owned a 386 computer. I even own an xbox 360 and think it is the shit, and I crave a Playstation 3. I'm infatuated with systems that boast pathetic graphics and beasty footprints.

By the time I'm 35, the big thing that will be gone are TV's and desktop computers as we know them. They will be things of the past, like the "boombox" or all those other things you guys thought were cool in the 80's.

In the future, you ask, how will we watch movies or tv? Glasses. Think about it. What happened to those big boombox things that the last generation grew up with? They became IPODs and Zunes. Why listen to a big un-cool cd player sitting on your desk when you can have in-ear head phones and a 5 oz ipod?

I'm guessing within 3-5 years we will start seeing the start of glasses designed to replace your home theater. Maybe sooner.. I think I may have seen some yesterday...

Why watch a 52" tv from 12 feet away when you can just slip on your glasses and experience your vision being completely filled with what you want to watch. But why stop with just TV's? Why not pocket computers. You just grab your new Dell Pocket top, turn on your wireless tv glasses and super cool keyboard thing (don't know how that will work yet, let me smoke another one first), and you'll be using a computer like we used IPODS now.

Though... the word computers is a thing of the 80's.... Everything is a computer. We should call computers dacomput0rs... no... lets call them Terminals.. nah thats too 90's... Whatever.

Anyways it's going to be interesting talking to my kids and them being AMAZED at how I could watch video from 12 feet away from my device. I mean seriouslly.. How do we do it? We sit 12 feet away from our TV's, the TV probably only fills about 1/3 of our vision. That leaves 2/3 of vision filled with distractions. It's amazing how much technology sucks. I want my TV glasses tomorrow damnit.

  I'm done.. damn dojo..

Testing The Blog

This will be the text on your new blog entry.
