Winstar Slot Machine Tips

General

I made another trip out to Winstar Casino last night with a couple friends and we all lost pretty good. I really feel bad for people who empty their bank accounts and go to a casino expecting to win money. Every time I've been to an indian casino (wait, that's all I've been to since I was of legal age to gamble) I have never taken more than $40.

Why?

Winstar has some of the lowest payouts you can imagine. This is an indian casino in Oklahoma, these are not casinos that are on the strip that need to compete for your business. Your only alternative to Winstar is the gas station next door (ya they have slots, as do almost every gas station off I35). So, them paying out as low as they legally can isn't going to cause them to loose your business.

Also, because, if you didn't fail first grade math, no slot machine has a long term payout of over 100%. The best payout you can find is 98% (the machine will pay out 98 cents for every dollar put it in, in the longterm)... So, if you think a slot machine is an ATM, your going to find out over the long term that it really is not, and luck is just a figment of your imagination.

Never go to a casino expecting to win anything (especially win star). If you go expecting to win, then your going to leave crying.  The first time I went to winstar (I've only been to casinos 5-6 times), I saw a lady in the Highwire Act (high rollers room) sitting in the fetal position in front of a $25 slot machine crying like she just lost a kid.

Winstar Casino slot machine tips? Don't play them. Play blackjack. Or go to Shreveport, or Vegas. Winstar sucks. If your not a males under 25 with nothing better to do and a bankroll of under 30 bucks, then stay away from winstar. Wait until you can go somewhere worth while.

Oh, and it's called a random number generator. I love listening to people say "oh it's about to hit" or "it's already taken a lot of my money, it's going to give me some back"... No, it has no emotion. It is a slot machine. You could win 100 spins in a row on a slot machine, because, of this amazing thing called a random number generator. I prefer to call random number generators in slot machines random loosing number generators.

Anyways, Bryce and I had really good luck on the 25 cent and $1 slots. I think the most I probably ever hit was $30, but that's a lot more fun than just playing penny slots all night and hitting $2 jackpots. My friend Chris played penny slots all night and didn't blow all of his cash, but I think he managed to push $40 through the penny slots over 2 hours, while we were able to play for about 2 hours with $25 in the quarter and dollar slots due to better payouts.

So ya, penny slots are a waste of time. And for those who again failed math, when you play a multi-line machine, every extra line your play actually increases the odds against you. If you don't believe me, please go learn basic math.

random number generator -- same here in Montreal at our casino [and various VLTs]. I call it random number robber LOL

Did win at the casino in 1993 on slots. Twice! $5,000 and $2,500 playing $5 slot machine. Since then, very small but mostly NO wins. We go 4 times a year, on US holidays [but not July 4th as it is way too busy that day]. First time we went was in 2000. We have a dollar limit and when it's gone, so are we. My husband bets horses and plays some craps.

Not 1993 which was the year it opened -- we first went in 2000 and I won US Thanksgiving, $5000 in 2002 and Martin Luther King Jr day, $2,500 in 2003. Since then the random number generator has mostly been the random number robber...

i love it when i hear people talk as if u just cant win at winstar but ive been to a lot of casinos and the slots are all the same so you think just because you go to shreveport are someplace like that the slots are going to pay more ? why do you think that? they want your money to . remember casinos wernt built on giving money and i dont care where you go its the same. right time right place. sorry if you exprience was not a good one at winstar but for me i like winstar. they are doing alot of things to improve the customers exprience they started to put in more class 3 slots about to get alcohol add a hotel to the existing casino and the casino that will be add will have nothing but class 3 slot their still wet behind they ears give it some time they will get it right

My wife and I go to Winstar 6 or 8 times per year, and I have come home a winner more than half the time. The last time we went, she won $190, and I won $550.....ALL on the slots. So, sorry you have such bad luck at the slots, but wise up; they are all the same anywhere you go. To for entertainment; not to win. If you win, it's just an added treat. Perhaps you should take up basketweaving.
P.S. We're going this morning. 'Will advise.

Did the Winstar for the 07/07/07 gala. WOW! The place was way over packed...and the slots were way over tight. Played right at $600...and the largest payout was a whopping $40 hit.

But...I can't say it is any worse than Shreveport. Winstar is definitely hurting the casinos in Shreveport, but ever since Binion sold out to Harrah's, it's all in decline. Binion's Horseshoe played to the $500-600 gambler. Harrah's plays to the $200-300 players. Last time I was in the Horseshoe on a Friday or Saturday...you could have shot a cannon down through the aisles and not hit anybody. If they ain't bringing in money...they ain't paying it out.

As for Winstar...I give it a 50/50. It's a bit too dark in there - they could add some better lighting. Slots are just about like any place else. Of the last 5 times there...I came out ahead 3 times..usually by a couple hundred. Can't say that for Shreveport.

As for the math wizards...Vegas was not built by winners...but people still go.

I can tell you all something about Losestar and the rest of the Real Casinos. For one Losestar is tighter. I know for a fact they can either make a machine pay out tighter or looser. If you have ever gone to even say Choctaw you will see people getting paid way more than Losestar. It astounds me that people continue to pour their money at Winstar even over Choctaw. I personally prefer Vegas, I live only 15 minutes to Winstar but I will now only go to
Choctaw. If you have not been you need to check it out. You may not win every time but you will probably do much better there than at Winstar with your money. Plus it is just run better. More like a real Casino. I have been gambling for over 20 years and to most Casinos in the U.S. and know what is tight and what is looser.

I am not a Gambler by no means but I am divorced from a habitual gambler who lost my house and my boat and 2 jet skis. So my opinion may not matter to you but, I think if you have nothing better to do with even $20 you could give it to a animal shelter or homeless shelter because it takes alot to rebuild your life with a 10 year old from a father who would rather gamble and stay at a slot machine or a blackjack table that pay the bills and buy food....god belss you all
