Strep Throat 0 Ceftin 1

General

My doctor prescribed me ceftin when my strep throat came back after finnishing my 10 day antibiotic course. This stuff is a little stronger than the Amoxicilin and kicked the streps ass. I've only been on it a little over 24 hours but I'm feeling great. My throat was really sore yesterday and so I drank a lot of green tea and cut back on smoking. The smoking really attributed to the sore throat as smoking a pack a day can really make your throat raw when you have a sore throat (check out the pictures i posted)... Anyways, if your amoxicillin isn't doing it, ask your doctor for some ceftin. I don't know what made me post this, maybe it's because I wanted to plug medical marijuana. If your in college, screw the advil and tylenol for pain relief. Ask your "campus doctor" for some medical marijuana. Advil and tylenol are for old people, when you need to get rid of that sore throat, medical marijuana is what you need. Now if only marijuana was an antibiotic, i really hate taking antibiotics as it makes your immune system weak IMO. But yes.. kids.. don't settle for those over the counter pain relievers you found at your grandma's house.

This message brought to you by NORML - Working to reform marijuana laws (www.norml.org). NORML is an equal opportunity lender. lol.. i don't actually smoke marijuana, and haven't in over 2 years. I just wanted to post about marijuana. I do support marijuana legalization, but me and marijuana do not get a long on a personal basis. We can exist in this world together, but we are not friends or in-frequent contacts for that matter.

So you aren't using the alcohol as a pain reliever this time around? ;)

Nope.. No alcohol this time. I did drink a couple mud slides (kind of like baileys irish creme i guess) down in Houston on Saturday thinking I was over it, and that probably helped the strep come back. Maybe strep and alcohol are just two things that should never be mixed, medication or not.
