Halo 3 May Be Too Late

General

For me anyway.. I'm a halo addict...

I talked to a friend with a friend from Bungie (I know...) who said that Halo 3 WILL NOT be available until November (2007) OR LATER.. He said don't be surprised if it isn't released until early December. First Spring, then fall, now winter. Bungie, ya'll are killing me. A december release would break from the leaked information from Amazon earlier this month. I can not wait that long, and I know there's 1000's of other who can not wait that long. If they try to hold out for a Christmas release, I will be heart broken.. I doubt it will hurt their sales, as it didn't hurt the sales of Halo 2 which was released November 9th of 2004 (and is the highest grossing release in entertainment history). If released in December like he hinted, I believe it will hurt their sales as December is a bit late for Christmas shopping in todays ever changing society. I honestly don't see how it will take them til November/December to get this game out. They have 100's of awesome game designers at Gungie and they could have had this out tomorrow. First Spring, then fall, now winter. Bungie, ya'll are killing me.

This Halo 3 wait makes me feel like Cartman from Southpark, In the episode where he anticipates the release of the Nintendo Wii (which can be seen here: http://digg.com/gaming_news/South_Park_Cartman_goes_nuts_for_Nintendo_Wii)

Oh, and if you want your heart broken too, just look at this image and know you won't experience it until the end of 07: http://www.bungie.net/images/games/halo3/screenshots/H3_MPAlpha_HighGroundAssault.jpg

And what about the Halo movie? Last I hear it is permanently on hold.

Well guys, I'm off to go get cryogentically frozen until November 2007, someone please have me thawed if Halo 3 is released before that date.

"First Spring, then fall, now winter."

Bungie hasnt ever addressed the date for the launch of halo 3. The only thing that's been addressed is the year. and that was from the halo 3 e3 announcement trailer.

If you look into the history of the xbox, you'll see a long line of november releases, which is why you can expect halo 3 to follow that trend. November (middle ish) is the sweet spot for holiday shopping, which means big sales. Also something to consider. Next november the 15th (the day halo 1 was released (and also halo 1's 6 year anniversary)) will be a tuesday, which is when games are released.
