How to stream music to your phone
GeneralSo you want to know how to stream music from winamp or windows media player to your phone or PDA? I have found some of the easiest ways to stream music to your phone and use it like an IPOD, but with a MUCH much bigger library. The services are new, but this has been going on for over 2 years.
The EASIEST way possible to do this, is to try out Mercora's "M" service. Mercoa's "M" service allows you to access your music library on your PC by installing a windows media player plugin, and downloading software to your phone. You can also access your friends music collections, listen to over 100,000 channels of digital radio, and search for your favorite artists and genres.
The downside to Mercora's "M" service is the $4.99 monthly subscription fee.
There is also Phling! which is the free knock-off version of Mercora's "M" Service, keeping the "let 6 friends listen" feature of the M service. From what I hear Phling! is much slower and not as great of a service, but it is free. http://www.phling.com
This idea is not new, however, as you could already stream to your smart phone or PDA by doing what this kid shows you in this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r9C1Ah3XKc (couldn't embed it, ill fix later) Best of all, IT'S FREE, AD FREE, THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD, and it's FAST... This method has been in use for a couple years!
